  This cemetery is carved into the lava rock slopes of Holualoa. Despite the fact that the most recent markers appear to be decades old, this cemetery is well-maintained, with fresh flowers to be found on several markers. Time and weather have rendered many of the markers illegible, particularly in the older sections of the cemetery. Nonetheless, the cemetery remains a moving reminder of the Japanese immigrants to this region of the Big Island.
